The Butterfly and The Flower

There once was a butterfly

That flew and flew

And

There once was a flower

That grew and grew

Through fields of hue

Yellow, green, white and blue

The majestic butterfly just knew

Love was real, yes, it must be true

Wingtips a soar, he saw her and adored

Simply too beautifully yellow to ignore

Maybe love unrequited…he must explore

Day and night he confessed his love

Certain it was what the birds all sang of

In sweet time, she turned her pedals above

The butterfly and the flower were in love

Summer's haze and growing blades

A man sat under a tree in the shade

The butterfly floated thinking of serenades

But

To the butterfly's heartbroken dismay

The flower was not there this day

He fluttered above refusing to fly away

The flower had been cut and there she lay

The butterfly flew to her without delay

She had passed away, all hues now grey

The butterfly too died that very day

An Ode to True Love

A Belief in Love

You never have to be something you are not

for me... You are more than enough

more than I could ever have hoped for

the day I met you... was when I realised...

true love really exists... even in a world of darkness.

— H-R Watts

Love's Silent Language

You Just Know

Love holds no bounds

it is unconditional, non materialistic

love is when she looks at you and no words are spoken

you just know...

— H-R Watts

Verses of Devotion

She Loves Me

When she loves... She loves with her whole heart

she sees only I... as I see only her

no other love can ever compare to her

it's unconditional and pure like the crystal streams.

— H-R Watts

Love's Silent Verse

The Language of Pure Love

A love so true, needs no words

it’s in the way you hold me

the way you touch me

and the way you look deep in my soul

your heart speaks to mine in an unseen language

in our moment time does not exist.

— H-R Watts

An Ode to My Soulmate

The Love of a Soulmate

She is the most important part of my life

the woman who completes me

my heart feels like home because she is… simply in it

the world is a better place because she exists

no one can ever replace that feeling

for my soul connects instantly with hers

the thread of love invisible to the naked eye

but adjoined with her in this very lifetime

and then overlapping in to the next.

— H-R Watts

Love's Permission

“She touched my hand like she was asking permission to stay”

— H-R Watts
